Nothing is wrong with it, I just don't need 2 fast cars.

The wrx blows on gas, and I commute 50 miles a day now since I moved. I'd rather get something better on the mpg and wallet. There is a decent amount of positive equity in the wrx as it sits now, so i'd rather cash in on it.

Whats the other fast car you got? ha, j/k

Like I told you, I'm selling my GTI. Its amazing how well these dealers are willing to work with you if you have a car that gets good mpg. Its definitely a good advantage later on to have a peppy DD if it gets good MPG. I looked into the subbys and was surprised how they arent very good on gas compared to other cars. I know they have AWD, but there are other cars that have AWD and get decent gas mileage. I'm looking at one myself :)

There are few other cars with symmetrical AWD though, that's part of the difference. Three differentials is a lot of inertia to overcome!

The wrx in that video gets around 31 mpg... So I'm not sure what your looking for in terms of fuel economy, lol

Yea, being 50/50 all the time certainly blows in the mpg department.

I liked the idea of a focus ST, but the dealer markups are intense, and they aren't nearly as quick as I thought.

The newer GTI's are cool, but I can't get over the seats and the fact that they need an extra 100hp to compete speed wise with what they are priced against (WRX and MS3).

The golf R is pretty sick, but its right inline with EVO/STi territory...:-/. $35k for a VW coupe? Hard to swallow.

Speed 3's are cool, but are also fail wheel drive, so you dont even hit full boost till 3rd gear.

The speed factor isn't that important, but its sad to know the focus ST or the GTI couldn't outrun grandma in her new V6 camry!

I might just go full boring for the DD

Then it must be the mods. Like I said, I do 90% highway now and can't muster over 25. This is the dash readout too, which I have a small feeling is 3mpg over what it actually gets.

It doesn't surprise me a tune helped the car out, but stock it does the 0-60 sprint in 6.6

V6 camry is 5.9, come on now!

Turbo Prius time!

Also, I am going to have my winter tires mounted soon so I really need to smoke up these stock tires somewhere, you know, for education and science. I need to learn how to do donuts and we'll measure how much pollution a burnout causes.
