Pete is up in Louden, and MPE Racing down in Taunton. I don't have much experience with Pete but hear good things. Chris at MPE is very good and tuned Billys car (HellsBells).

Oh yes, he's excellent haha!

On another note...some girl shot herself with a S&W 500...

http://bearingarms.com/negligent-suicide-with-a-500-smith-wesson-revolver/

Whoever gave her the gun should face criminal charges for negligence.

Heard about that through another youtube channel I subscribe too.

I can't read the article, but I was under the impression she loaded more than 1 round and the recoil from the first caused her hand to twist and let another one off.

I could go both ways with this, the people running the rental place shouldn't of rented her the gun.

She also shouldn't of loaded more than 1 round in the thing if she hasn't shot anything close to as powerful.

Its just sad...

I'm not 100% but pretty sure she didn't load it or decide she wanted to shoot it. That's my problem: someone handed this to her knowing exactly what she was getting into.

Thats what I got from the article too. But on the other hand, it didn't come right out and say it, so who knows.

Well, handing somebody a loaded firearm who is renting it is outrageous in its own right. In that case, 100% on the shops fault.

I do wonder what the 500 is like just shooting 300gr rounds, not the 500gr grizzly bear ones we were shooting.

went shooting today! shot a .45 1911, a .22 revolver, my buddys .40 and a 12 gauge. I really like the .45 1911. I think it changed my mind about going smaller. The 12 gauge was a lot of fun too!

Ewww .40 is the devil...

If you shoot 9mm, the .40 shells look like 9mm. If you shoot .45, the .40 shells look like .45s -- makes it a pain to sort/pick brass.

The 9mm/.45 debate will go on forever. 9mm is considerably cheaper to shoot though. Also, new shooters / smaller people tend to not enjoy the .45 compared to the 9mm--just a thought if you tend to take a lot of people shooting with you. Also, even though MA has a 10round mag cap, just remember that most single stack .45 caliber pistols will only hold 7-8 rounds compared to the full 10 rounds of a 9mm (unless you get extended magazines that stick out the bottom). The only double stack .45 1911 I know of (other than custom made) is the Para Ordnance ones.

I'm going to have to shoot Brians. The .45 1911 felt easier and more controlled than the glocks did and didn't hurt my hand nearly as much. I don't know if its the round or the gun but I have a hunch it was probably the gun.

from the left. The .40, the .45, and the .22

and the shotty.

I actually think .45 is a more controllable recoil then 9. 9 is really sharp since its moving a lot faster, .45 is a gentle nudge back. And .40 is the devil, everybody knows that.

Trying to pick up an 870 for home defense, but Em doesn't like the idea.

I mean, I have a 50's bolt action shotgun under the bed, but an 870 is out of the question.

Where did you go to shoot Kevin?
