Hello everyone. I currently do not own a Mustang but I will be in the market for one soon. I own a 1980 Fairmont and a Srt-4 Neon (I know) and it's mildly modded but im just getting sick of fwd, rattles, cheap interior, lag, awful trans ect..

The only reason I got into an Srt-4 is because I got tempted by the cheap parts I can get my hands on at work. I work at a performance/powercoat/fab shop that is popular for making aftermarket/custom parts for SRT vehicles.

Anyway I joined to do some research on these 3 valves before I pull the trigger. Based on my criteria, an 05-09 seems like exactly what I want. < 20K, easy bolt ons, looks, nice interior (to me), not a gm and RWD! I'm not worried about going fast, I just want something that I can daily that has a little bit of power.

Enough yapping heres some pitures of my vehicles

Has a few mods, Turbo, cams, adj gears (not pictured), headgasket + arp studs, big fuel(also not picd), shifter, Mopar lowering springs, Puck clutch with alum flywheel and a bunch of other things. Runs out pretty good but its a laggy bastard- right around 380 whp @ 20 psi with similar tq on 93. Stock longblock minus cams.

Original I6 car but I built a mild 302 my senior year in high school and swapped it. Was a fun project and my first car.

Was an all black interior car with leather and a 5 spd. Had headers, clutch, intake, shifter and wheels. I miss the car BAD and it's the reason I want to get in another mustang. I hate myself for selling it.

Thanks. The CBR is a fun ride, easy to get in alot of trouble though. As soon as I get the srt put back to stock, its going bye bye. I have all the stock parts, I just need to find the time to do it!

Welcome to the forum. You and I have a lot of car history in common. I had a red 95 GT back in the day, as well as a CBR600RR. Here's a pic of my old CBR before I sold it.

FWIW, I actually like the little SRT4. I would think that's a fun little pocket rocket. And the Fairmont is just too cool for school!

Yeah the SRT4 is a fun car and it will lay it on some cars that make alot more power, i'm just ready for something a little nicer. Pic of your cbr doesn't seem to work, maybe it's my computer.

UPDATE!

Finally got a s197! Picked it up two weeks ago.

65k miles, shaker 500, leather, 5 speed. It's bone stock except for flowmasters.

I'm so glad to have gotten rid of that neon, wheelspin at 80 mph+ was getting on my nerves haha.

On the way home from the dealer I noticed the fuel gauge didn't work, after some research I discovered it was the cluster, so I had them put one in... and some parking brake cables too! They wanted me to pay for it at first, I laughed at them.

Mods for now will be longtubes/x, intake, tune (mainly for the awful throttle resp.) and weld RTS's in 15" on all 4 .

Any way, pics.
