Couple of years ago, my oldest son picked up this '14 GT. The previous owner did quite a few upgrades to it. VMP Odin, dual disk clutch, 3.73's, GT500 front brake upgrade, Steeda & BMR suspension stuff, Hurst line lock, MGW shifter, 19" Forgestar wheels with 275/40-19's on all 4 corners (not pictured). Dyno sheets show it makes 670 to the tire.

He kept it for a while and because of his job, he barely drove it. He decided to put it up for sale so I jumped on it. Haha. With only 47k miles, it was too good to pass up.

We've had plenty of Mustangs over the years, 1983 GT, 1995 GT, 1998 GT, 1998 BAB Cobra, 2003 GT, 2012 GT500, this 2014 GT and my youngest son's 2015 GT with a Whipple. We still have the 83, 95, 98, 14 and the 15.

I enjoy drag-n-drive events like Hot Rod Drag Week and Rocky Mountain Race Week. Nothing better than disconnecting for an entire week and cruising, racing and hanging out with like minded folks.

Anyway just wanted to pop in and say Hi. May not post much as I am still learning about Coyote's & the S197 platform.

I am local to VMP and Justin tuned both of my Mustangs. And the 5.0 is a fantastic platform to build, the car should perform well for many years to come. Congrats and welcome. The forum isn't as busy as it was back in the S197 heyday but many of us old timers still pop in every day or two just to see if there's anything interesting posted.

I'm a big block guy. The 83 has a 552, the 98 is a single turbo 460, and I am currently building an 88 Ranger that I plan to have a twin turbo 514/521 in. I joke with my buddies that I am always doing it wrong because these Coyote cars are so much fun. Haha. Makes a guy want to convert everything to Coyote power.

The '14 with the street wheels.

The '12 GT500.

This was a neat car, and had some nice upgrades, '13 grill, JLT, pulley, tune, long tubes, one piece driveshaft, but it had a lot of miles on it. It once shot a sparkplug out destroying the coil and was on the verge of really needing some money dumped into it to freshen it up.

The '14 feels as fast or faster than the GT500 and is just plain nicer inside and out.

I just checked out your YT channel... WOW you do some great fabrication.
Thanks! I do ok for an old blind land surveyor. I just do this for fun and try to be as practical as I can.

'98 Cobra. This is one we should have kept. it was a peach. it had a bunch of Maximum Motorsports suspension parts under it.

Welcome from Ohio. This is a great site for advice and shared knowledge. Sounds like you fall in the column of contributor rather than the guy with a question.

Haha. Well I sure enjoy tinkering with these things. I know a lot about the Fox and SN95 cars, but the S197 platform is still pretty new to me!
