e85 is damn good at taking out o2 sensors with LT's however. :)

Why use Torco when E85 is everywhere (for me) and doesn't cost any more to use than gasoline?

Because E85 has a different stoich than gas vs torco being same stoich as gas.

Also you get more octane boost from Torco than mixing 2-3 gal of E85 into Pump 91-93

If you buy torco in 5-gal and pour into qt cans it's pretty cheap.

Also not water sensitive and no O2 sensor issues.

Torco being a race fuel concentrate works as a fuel stabilizer if your car sits up for periods of time also.

These are all good known points that you bring up. I will address them as I see it for my car.

1. Yes the stoich is different. With these cars you can choose to not worry about it and let the fuel trims make up the few % change in the stoich (I did this for awhile and it worked perfectly), or get a custom tune for the stoich change to zero out the fuel trims (I do this now with a custom tune from Mike Rousch).

2. I really don't think that octane above 95-96 or so in these cars n/a with proper tuning has much appreciable performance benefit, which is easy to achieve with a light E85 mix, plus the extra cooling from the ethanol.

3. I'm not playing around with storing Torco in my garage somewhere and adding it occasionally when I'm not at a gas station, when I can splash in some E85 at the pump whenever I fill up.

4. I have used 100% pump E85 exclusively in a few of my previous cars and they always got stored for 5 months or so at a time in the winter. I never had one issue with that fuel going bad and causing problems. I always just drove around easy on the 'old' E85 from the previous year until I could fill up with fresh stuff, then it was back to beating on it.

5. I have never had to replace one 02 sensor in any of my E85-burning cars. I understand that some Coyote cars have had issues with 02 sensors when they are equipped with longtubes? I don't have them.

Sorry for taking your thread off tangent Mike.

I should add that I have never used Torco. I know that some people use it with success. Just speaking for myself and my experiences. If you like it, go for it!
