Hi, I just changed the whole clutch system with throwour bearing. I bled the system with vacuum and test drove it. I have a clutch out for the use the clutch there is a little bit of rattle coming from the transmission and when I have clutch in the sound goes away,
so what I think believe is happening is maybe the fingers on the pressure plate is misaligned or the whole thing is misaligned. or it could be that the transmission shaft is kind of rattling. when I touched the transmission shaft when I was putting it in was kind of moving. There was some play. I have a video included for sound. Do you know anybody know what this could be?

What brand clutch? What Brand Throw Out Bearing? Could need a shim kit for the throw out bearing.

Its transmission gear 'no load' rattle. My magnum xl also does it. Not much you can do about it.

wow, i didnt know my post was this gibberish when i wrote it last night. my apology gentlemen.
i used Luks kit. it includes flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. it says to use all luks as they are designed to work together. it is supposed to be an OE replacement. my previous clutch was also luks same kit. i inspected the old parts and found they were identical and had luks mark on it. same deal with throwout. so i didnt care much to measure the gap to shim it and just went along as i used to be able to drive fine.

on the side note, i did replace timing chain components and had the engine out. the trans shaft was kind of wobbly. i heard the shaft should stay solid and just spin. mine had a little bit of play. im thinking that could be the cause of rattle when clutch is not engaged with pressure plate fingers pressing against bearing.

If it was the trans shaft, it should have started before changing the clutch.
Did you use a clutch alignment tool when installing?
Otherwise and more likely, a small shim is needed to prevent the rattle.
Similar issues exist when using a larger/modular transmission with adapter plate, it can rattle in neutral until clutch is pressed in a little. Shimming solves the noise.

yes. alignment tool was used and even if it wasnt i heard it should align itself when the clutch is pressed in, making the clutch plate free of pressure.

I didnt want to measure and shim it but i guess that is what is needed. thank you for your input.
