We're very excited to let everyone know that Whipple now offers a "Crusher" intake setup for the 2.3L and 2.9L blower setups for the 2003-2004 Cobra.

Whipple : Lethal Performance, Performance parts for Ford Mustangs

The Crusher upgrade consists of a higher flowing less restrictive intake plenum, 160mm throttle body and 123mm MAF/Intake Tube. The upgrade will maximize performance for each of these blower setups allowing them to make more boost and flow more air which in the end equals increased HP and TQ.

Parts included with the Crusher Inlet Package:
(1) Cobra Crusher Rear Inlet (Black)
(1) 160mm Supermono blade TB (Black)
(1) 123mm Round MAF (equal to 165mm oval) (for slot style maf such as HCX and Shelby)
(1) 123mm Billet Venturi
(1) 9” True flow S&B filter
(2) 5” Silicone hoses
(1) 123mm Plastic Inlet Tube

Is there any way to make this upgrade work for a S197 2.3l Whipple?

No there is not. The inlets that come on the S197 2.3Ls already flows much better than the standard inlet for the SN95 cars, the only thing that you could do is install a GT500 style throttle body and a bigger cold air kit and MAF.

Will a gt500 TB clear the blower housing? I was planning on ordering a L&M twin 62mm from you guys next week and possibly piecing together a CAI kit from a 05-08 kit (I have a 2010 with enclosed airbox that has been giving me problems), but I don't know if that is something you guys can order from Whipple.
