hey all my name is Larry, I am not currently a S197 owner but hoping to become one soon. More than likely i'll end up becoming a 4.0 owner as the Gt's are still going for high teens to the mid 20's. I am seeing alot of nice cars on here. Makes me very happy to join this forum.

Welcome! And these guys speak truth, a GT will be a much better platform to work with if you wanna go fast. Even if you wanna go sorta fast. or semi-slow medium speed fast. or half way fast with a hint of slow while still being pretty fast. You catch my drift.

Larry I'm down on the Eastern Shore of VA. I agree with the other guys about the GT. If you are like half of us that are power hungry, you won't be satisfied with the little v6. Especially now that like every other v6 car on the plannet will mop up the floor against the 4.0. If you aren't into that sort of thing and just want to cruise then hurry up and get one and Welcome to the club!

So I found a car locally, I am going to go look at it. It's a 06 GT with 65K on it, bad part is that it needs a windsheild, tires, and the clear has lifted off the spoiler.

so replace the windscreen, your getting new tires anyway (along with new wheels because the stockers are ugly as fuck) and remove the spoiler...

Just seeing what everyone's thoughts were on it? They're asking 13,995 for it. From what I can see by the door panels it's got the shaker 1000 audio system in it. Anything that I should look for with it?

So I drove the red GT yesterday, Car was a pile of dog crap. Who ever owned it before neglected it alot. The throttle is very slow to respond, car was a shaker 1000 car and has the subs in the door but not in the trunk. Drivers side window doesn't go back up once you close the door.

just south of middletown, I tried to buy the satin silver one and they wouldn't deal any on it at all. Even low balled me on trade when the called me and told me they were willing to be aggressive. They offered me $1500 less than other dealers I had talked to.

oH that sucks. I work right accross the street and have seen them drop the price from 18000 to 16000 so I figured they may be willing to deal on it. We got our 06 from there and got 3k knocked off, we didn't have a trade in though.
