Soaking Up The Knowledge
Hey guys I have been lurking aorund here for awhile now and doing my best to learn exactly how our engines work and what comprises them and I have learned a bit but it is all really unclear and I would like to think I am not the only one who feels this way.. some major questions/comments that need clearing up...
1. The shortblock is a block with a rotating assembly in it and that is it?
2. A Longblock is a Shortblock with Heads and Cams?
3. What comprises a rotating assembly? (Pistons and Rods???)
This is just scratching the surface I know but I feel these are def the bigger ones that once I understand will defintely help me move forward in understanding exactly what these engines are comprised of and how they work... thanks inadvance guys.
