By the time I come back a 5.0 will make just about the same power as a GT500 to a certain extent.

Dunno about that with the 13/14 gt500 tidbits coming out....possibly 5.4 bored out to 5.8. bigger supercharger......

If you wont even be able to drive it , I would certainly wait to purchase until you are coming back. That way you can see what the new mustangs are looking like or get a 12 5.0 for much much cheaper.

I wouldn't get the Shaker 1,000 package. Get the 500 and listen to it for a while. If you still want more bass, add an aftermarket subwoofer.

i love my shaker 1k, if you're gonna get the 500 might as well get the 1k call it a day and be done with it.

The 1K takes up too much trunk space IMO... but then again, sound is not that important and I personally like being able to throw 2 sets of clubs in the trunk.

Bringing this back. I know this is a stang site so most will say go with the stang but what about a vette. If so, what year, model, and around the same price as the stang which will be around $25-30K
