Bad stuff... bottom of the oil pan... Nice and shiny. Lots of metal particals

Going to have to clean and inspect everything thats going to be re-used...

If this forum has taught me anything its that all that metal that got sucked into the oil pan will get pulled through the oil filter and cleaned...




















And yes it was a joke people. It was in some thread about blowing up cheap Chinese turbos. We all 'd about it. I even wrote it down in my diary, "Veronica had a very funny joke today!"

Your oil pan reminded me of my transmission pan after I took it out of the Vette.

Still worked like a champ though.

I havnt been on here for awhile and Im kinda bored so I firgured Id update this nightmare thread.... As of right now, my hatred for this fucking car has somewhat worn off and Im finally caring about rebuilding it.... So I now have another built shortblock ready to go. Its pretty much the same thing as the last block, built by JDM as their 302E. Turns out the entire driver side of the block was damaged.... So I needed atleast 4 new pistons, 4 new rods, rings, bearings etc.... Didnt take pics of that since we all know what it looks like but...... I got this pic

Below is a top view pic of the smallest burn hole through one of the pistons.....

Same piston on the side!!!!!!! Ironic how the smallest hole on top actually has the most damage to it Enjoy

Next step for me is to firgure out which valve springs to go with.... Leave some feedback..... Im considering Pac Racing springs right now..

Best ET with this car is a joke.... It ran its best when it blew up.... I honestly can't say the exact time since I never grabbed my slip, the track attendees weren't to happy about the run lol.... If you stop watch the vid I posted, its somewhere around a 12.0-12.5 run prob around 115..... Everytime this car has seen the track, something breaks followed by a pathetic et time.... I know, it will always be in my blood for sure..... My thing is lack of confidence on a re-build due to STILL no knowing 100% why this happened.... Everyone has their story to tell but they all make minimal sense.... BTW, great trap speed man.... Wish my piece of shit would do that atleast once

alked to mike at L&M and he said to stop disassembling it and let him do it so he can figure out why it failed, not jsut build another motor. I still need to get it out of the car, and no real idea how

Well thats it fella's...... Ive decided to pull the plug on the car..... Its going back to stock and parted out..... I just bought a running complete stock motor for the car....... Its just to much wrench time and $ to get the thing back the way it was and I just dont give a shit..... Time to move on to something else along with buying my first house..... RIP #4487.....
