any more work done around the house?

Unfortunately not really... I had got some stuff cleaned up and what not but medical issues are holding me back.

I broke my back a couple years ago pretty severe. Broken L1-L3, burst of the L2, all fused. Bone graph from my hip to repair L2. Plenty of hardware. I was paralyzed for a little bit but regained feeling in the hospital. Very extensive surgery, 6 months in bed, lots of physical therapy, etc. Now I can't feel my right thigh, lots of pain, lots of swelling. Come to find out my L5 vertebrae is shifting in towards my spinal cord, going to need another fusion to fuse the remaining two lumbar vertebrae to the others. On top of that I got a call saying I also have a herniated disc. So basically... :wtf1::wtf1:

Anyone know what the best way to remove scratches from glass? The sliding glass doors need cleaned up. From my research the only thing I'm seeing is mention of using cerium oxide and polishing it out with a drill or buffer..

I finally picked up some crown molding to finish the patio and front entry way ceilings. I really didn't expect the price but I figure I'll only have to do this once. It was $250 for 96' of primed pine. Going to get it up tomorrow, hopefully have enough time to paint it as well. I'm just going to just end up buying a paint sprayer, probably a Graco, since I need it for a bunch of other shit anyways. Here's the crown molding..

I'm between hanging two of these two on the back patio.

I didn't get as much done as I wanted today but it's installed. Now, I just need to do some finish caulking and paint it. I'm going to pull a paint chip and get it color matched to touch up the edge. It's impossible to make a 'clean' line with the caulk on the stucco.

Anyone know a lot about water softeners? I need to figure something out. The water here has 12-17 grains per gallon of water. I've got an email into the water company to see if they can tell me the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) count. I'm hoping they send me back an email with an answer. Either way, I need to get a full house water softener. I wonder if there is a way to get the outside hoses filtered through it or at least the one I use for the cars... Either way I can always just build a filter system for out there.

I have two neighbors who are happy with theirs. One guy rents his (not sure why) and the other just got his installed. Said his water was much cleaner, but did have the slight 'slimy' feeling to it. I've been wanting one for awhile, but it hasn't been in the budget. I couldn't even wash my car with the water we have; it wouldn't get clean.

If you know how to sweat pipes, you can get one on the cheap and probably do the hookup yourself.

Yeah, I'm not worried about the installation. I'm more curious about finding the correct unit.

I also got the TDS back from my water company and they claim 280.

Looks sharp, good job!
Did you use a paint sprayer? If so, which one? And do you like it? I am going to have to do some painting around here and if I could just spray it, that would be awesome.

Thanks. Yes, definitely sprayed it that's why you see the overspray.

I actually borrowed the sprayer from a friend, it's a Graco not sure of the model number. I know you can buy Gracos from the big box stores for a couple hundred of dollars for a nice one. There is a little cheap one for $200 or something but you'll at least want the next one up from there. I think it's $300 or $399.

Just bought two of these tonight.

Also picked up two of these from eBay. I'm going to just set the receivers on the same signal so I can use one remote for both fans.

Very nice. Those remotes are kickass too, a buddy of mine has them, one up a ceiling fan upstairs and one downstairs, however he accidentally set them to the same frequency so when you turn the light or fan on with the remote downstairs it turns it on down stairs too lmao.

lol, I think he was tired of fussing with the wiring and just stuck them up in there, didnt realize until a couple days later when his wife yelled at him to stop messing with the light in the living room (when he was upstairs in the bedroom lol!)
He just hasnt been motivated enough to switch it.
I really am digging the blades on those fans though, those look cool. Very out-doorsy.

I had the same thing happen to me with a fan remote I put up not too long ago. I thought I was smart and had a code that no one would pick. Wrong. I had two neighbors who picked the same code, so there was a short period of time when everyone was freaking out from their fans turning off and on without warning. Luckily, they changed theirs because I would have had to remove the entire fan to do mine.
