Paint flaking off

I noticed recently that the paint is flaking off the underside of my hood in 2 places. I'm not sure why this is happening. I did have the outside of the hood repainted because of stone chip damage last summer, but the underside wasn't touched.

I want to ensure no corrosion takes place, what should I do? Repainting the underside is not an option I want to explore.

There's a TSB for this issue. Your dealership should take care of it. Same thing happened to me and I didn't have any problems with the dealership.

Were you still under warranty at the time? I am currently out of warranty. I've heard that TSB repairs should be done for free regardless, but a local Ford dealer told me they don't fix anything for free outside of warranty.

Thats BS cause if its a TSB they should fix it regardless of warranty.

I have an extended warranty, however, the dealership told me paint is not covered under it. But since it was listed as a TSB, they fixed it and billed Ford.

Thats BS cause if its a TSB they should fix it regardless of warranty.
