Surely a sweet setup, would love to hear it though..
I'll try to get a video. Still have to upload the base email tune.

The vid will only be a few quick revs though...sorry! Car is still up on stands in the garage and I wont have insurance on it until April 1st at the earliest.

Nice work jeff. I have the same thing going on.... Hey, do those vac fittings (bolt and vac barb) on the top of the tial have any o-rings with them as a seal?

Thanx for your help Jeff. What spring did you go with? I have the 11 psi spring right now but might change to a 10 psi....
At a friends suggestion I went with the 8psi. I just got the email tune and will start the car in the next day or so to check BOV operation. Just waiting on some caps to block off the recirc outlets.

If the 8psi spring doesn't work said friend has a 10psi and if that doesn't work we will just shim it...

Do you know what kinda vacuum your new setup pulls at a hot idle?

Right now its pulling -6hg to -8hg :wtf1:
But I think that has to do with my current tune not being 100% with the added stroke of the new motor.... Do you know what your pulling right now or what it pulled when it was running? Technically our motors should pull close to -20hg at a hot idle....

6-8"??? Thats very low! Must be tune related.

My car pulls right at 22". My buddy that suggested the 8psi spring has close to the same vacuum as me so Im hoping the 8psi works...

Its either tune related or I have a leak on something like the intake manifold which is possible. Im actually waiting for my tuner to get back to me to clarify if it could be the current tune.

They do say your soppose to size your BOV spring to half of your vac at idle. So if your pulling -22hg at idle you should use the 11 psi spring....

I've seen that rule of thumb and I also heard that many guys that run the Tial say to divide your vacuum by 2 and subtract 1 and that is the spring you should use. Like I said though, Im going off what a buddy recommended who is pulling the same vacuum as me.

I will hopefully find out soon and report back...

Got the base tune loaded up and got her running. I will need to change the BOV spring like Njs said...LOL Its open at idle and is pretty loud.

Well let me know. If your doing it with Justin you wont need me though, he is a damn good fabricator. Like I said, I will stop by and help consume some beer and maybe get my hands a little dirty!:beerchug2:

Let me get the correct spring in the BOV and I'll get some vid. You can definately hear the blower now though...its much louder than before. Not Procharger loud, but definately noticeable. Its a little late and I didn't want to piss the neighbors off too much reving the car in the garage!
