Had a bad day at the track. I took off my front bumper on a rain soaked corner. Perhaps a little too much confidence...

The hood took a hit. Bumper support got a scratch. I got lucky.

I'm shopping for a new front end, maybe a hood. New undertray would be nice, mine is gone. What do you guys recommend that offers good aerodynamics, has provision for brake ducts (mine are gone), with good airflow for radiator?

Steeda Competition fascia... Complete with brake duct inlets. PM me, mine's for sale. You'd have to repaint it, but...

Ouch dude. It happens to the best of us.

I like the Steeda one above, or the Roush. You can use either the foglight holes or the holes next to the radiator/intercooler hole for ducting.

Or, just pick up a painted stocker for dirt cheap from newtakeoff.com

The price for painting the hood sounds about right. Someone keyed mine and the estimate to repaint it was $500 from a shop I know does good work..

Guys,

Just a comment on the whole insurance thing... When you put a car on the track, you HAVE to assume the liability for any incidents. Anything else is simply fraud... That said, if you're not in a "competition event" where you're being timed, or ranked by finishing position, SOME policies will still cover the damages. Read the fine print in your policy, and pay close attention to the exclusions section. If it reads "...on a racing surface or facility..." then you're hosed.

Thanks for the responses guys. I am leaning towards a regular GT front end, with this grille: http://www.americanmuscle.com/0509-black-retro-grille.html

I will reuse my quantum motorsports brake duct inlets. My brake ducts got torn up, so I'll likely have to "Home Depot" a Solution.

Do you guys happen to know where I can find a exploded parts diagram for misc. front end pieces? I need new splash shields, 1 Driver's side headlamp, new front bumper foam padding, new undertray, numerous fasteners, etc.

When I took a HPDE course earlier this year a guy smashed his new Hyundai Genesis into a tirewall. He made an insurance claim because it was a racing school, there were no timed laps and an instructor was in the car with the driver. The publicly-run insurance company paid for all the repairs.

Anyway to the OP, I think if you assemble the parts yourself you can save a lot of money over having a body shop do it. Start scoping out junkyards in your area. If you're lucky you might even find parts in the right colour.
