Pinnacle Souveran Wax

Ok, I am not a detailing expert, I would rather turn a wrench than spend the time I just did on my car but I thought I would share my resent experience. I just completed a full detail on my car, wash, clay, wash, M205, Zaino and then Pinnacle Souveran (PS). All I can say is wow. I love the PS. It goes on like butter and comes off so easy you will not believe it. I even tried the cold DI water trick. I will post up some pictures if the rain in IL ever stops. What I know about detailing I have learned from Daniel, Nasty, Seer and some of the others on this site so please take this with a grain of salt. BTW, thanks to you guys for posting up what you do so others like me can learn. Now that the detailing is done I have a couple of mechanical things to do and then I will get to the track. Looking for a low 10 or maybe 9.9 with perfect weather.

You'll love Souveran, a lot of people call it the "gateway" wax. As it's pretty much everyone's go to first boutique wax

Pinnacle Souveran is great. It's a beauty wax and not a durability wax. It goes on and off so easy that you can apply it anytime.

Agreed. You will need to step into the higher end ($200 and up) zymols and swissvaxes if you want both worlds.

Great wax. Super easy on and off. Its so easy to use, you wont mind waxing your car every couple of weeks. Hell, I have a problem with using too much stuff on mine already.
For me, this isnt a problem at all.

It smells great too!!

I just bought Americana from Seer and because of the difficulty to remove I'm considering just going back to Pinnacle Souveran or even CG 5050.

it's a higher carnauba content wax... and central florida... sheesh

I'd hate to see what it's like to use Vintage down there, it was 95 degrees and high humidity here yesterday, I decided to apply another coat... wow was it a chore.

As with you, I was amazed how easy Souveran applies and wipes off. And for a non-DD it seems to hold up fairly well, but I do apply a couple times a season. When are you making the inagural run of the season?

I definitely recommend sealing before using Souveran, as it does not protect very well, but damn it looks pretty.

I am working with Tim to try and get in next week for him to tune the car with the nitrous shot. Once that is done I will get there as soon as my son's baseball schedule allows. I will post up when I am going on CMC as a couple of the guys want to see what she runs. I am hoping for low 10's in the heat and a 9.9 this fall. Either way, this is as fast as I am going to take the car. Anymore and I fear it will lose the street manners it has plus I would need to add a bunch more safety stuff and get a NHRA licence. Have you made it to the track this year? If so, how did you do?

With our otherwise crappy spring weather along with building a deck, only had the car out 3 times this year and no time to even think about making it to the track. Once we get through my youngest's HS graduation next weekend, then I will finally have some time to play.

Definitely let me know when you plan to hit Byron as I would love to see what that car will do!
