I just had this happen to me after replacing my engine. With the key on accessory(I'm assuming ur pump turns on then) slowly disconnect the inlet side of the pump and u will hear the air come out of the tube running from the bottom of the intercooler resiovior to the pump. Don't disconnect it all the way. This will prime the pump. U could also disconnect the top hose off the intercooler resiviour plug the hole with u finger and seal it lips to the opening of the resuovioir n blow. The coolant will run out of the disconnected hose and rid the system of air. Although I do recommend having a container under the house when u do that. Both ways have worked for me. Its always that damn line from the bottom of the intercooler result to the pump, and its a bitch because there are like four bends and two elevation changes leading to the pump. Hope u get it fixed.

^ This is how I originally tried to do it but it involved removing the grill and getting bloody knuckles trying to squeeze my hands in the restricted space. Pressurizing the line from up top is much easier.

Sometimes just pinching the lines is all it takes.

I bought one of these a few years back for my M90 kit install. Works great. Fills both your intercooler and cooling system under a vacuum so you don't have any air pockets.

grabbing the return line with your fist will work. just squeeze it like you would a siphen pump bulb multiple times, you should here a change in pitch of the pump as water goes through it.

What's funny is I pressurized it from the top...n I know that theoretically that should be good but for some god damn reason it wouldn't pick up. Neither would squeezing any line. I ended up having to take the bumper off but I left it such that I won't have to anymore.
