Not to threadjack, but I have a question. I picked up some of the Polish Angel spray wax and I'm not sure if I applied it correctly. It seemed when I sprayed it onto the car it, for a lack of a better word, "splashed" everywhere leaving small circular spots of wax that I found difficult to work out. I was afraid of being too aggressive since my car is black. I ending up just spraying it into a microfiber towel and then wiping it onto the car. Any tips?
Which one do you have Andrew, RapidWaxx? If it is, you really have to shake the shit out of the bottle. When I used it, I'd spray once onto the MF then one good spray onto the panel. A little goes a long way even though it may no seem like it. Whatever you do, be sure the panels are cool and don't let it dry. Hope that helps!
I just got that email haha.
What color adaptation for black our black? Is it just Single?
Yes, rapidwaxx. Maybe I didn't shake it enough. It'll be awhile before I do it again (spring) Let's say it does dry, how would I remove it safely?
Any suggestions for a good soap? I'll wash it to remove the wax once I bring it back out and then reapply the rapidwaxx. I'll have to look into the PA Centurion.
Chemical Guys Citrus Wash Red
or
CarPro IronX Snow Soap
Edit: Is the dried Rapidwaxx noticable?
Thanks. I noticed a little on my spoiler while I was out in the garage this weekend putting on my airlift. So yes.
Totaled!!!! Send me the Airlift stuff. LOL!!
That does it, I'm in! Wont get done until spring though. Just to damn cold until march now.
Does anyone know if a topper is required like UK needs Reload?? James??
I have never used "high dollar" detailing products, but I must admit, this stuff has me intrigued. My paint is needing a little love after two years and 25K miles.
So the only pre-work before applying is a good wash and clay bar? Then apply the primer with a DA, and the Glasscoat Cosmic by hand?
Yep wash, IronX, claybar, what's condition of your paint scale 1-10?
It's not bad, I'd say about a 7.5-8. It doesn't need any major paint correction, IMHO, but it has accumulated some light swirl marks from washing. No major scratches or chips at all. Car sleeps in the garage at night. LOL
And forgive me if this is a dumb question (I don't know a whole lot about real car detailing LOL), what is IronX?
