I personally was never a fan of stripes unless it was painted on and it definitely had to be the right color combo...

I thought about stripes at one point until I saw one of the local detailers destroy them. Pretty much, he didn't tape them off when he worked on a car with stripes. Ruined a white/blue 09 Roush (429R?)with one. I really wouldn't want to spend time taping those off if I had them. However, I remember seeing the Roush Mustangs with their stripes painted in, and those look pretty good vs. vinyl.

Are you driving the stang or letting it cure?

It is sitting in the garage curing. I think the 24 hour point is about 7-8 pm tonight.

After a cruel curing time, it is now free to roam :)

I need to pick some of this up the next sale. 4th of July maybe? It shouldn't need too much paint correction (especially since a door and a fender will have fresh paint, lol), I should do it while it'll be quick.

Whats the wait time nowadays on waxing new paint. Back in the day waxing too soon on fresh paint would ruin it

I'm pretty sure PA will have a Father's Day sale. As for fresh paint, unless you know for sure the fresh panels were baked for curing, I'd definitely wait a minimum of 60 days for the clear coat to fully cure...

I know I haven't been around much lately but I just purchased Cosmic for my 2015 GT that I picked up a couple of weeks ago now. Unfortunately I still have Cosmic for my red 2008 that I never put on. Was waiting until after pollen season to apply but ended up with a black 2015 before that happened. O well. If anyone is on the fence of whether to get Cosmic and has dark candy apple red I'll let you have it for a good price. If not it will just be sitting on a shelf in my basement. No big deal I rather have the 2015 than worry about a bottle of coating. Oh I also have a bottle of the Red Opal Carnauba Arts spray wax as well.

The new ride will only need a polish as I didn't the dealership prep the car for me. As far as I can tell I may need to compound only 2 spots that I have noticed so far. Ah to work on a new car again. So there wont be to much prep work before applying Cosmic. Can't wait to get mine to look like Jame's black. I look @ it in the driveway not being fully happy with the paint cause I know it will look even better soon. Let the fun begin.

Congrats Scott, I'm so jealous - 3V owners are becoming extinct around here lol... Pics??? Definitely throw some Dlux on all that trim.

My buddy has an 07 gtcs but I think it's redfire - not sure how different the 2 colors are. I'll check out the colors and see if he may be interested.

Yes there is alot of plastic so yes Dlux will be applied. If anyone is interested in my Red Polish Angel just let me know, if not no worries.

What a huge difference between the 3v and the 4v and the engine isn't even broken in yet. It was hard to let mine go but got a really great deal and it was BLACK!!

Here are afew pics from the day I brought her home.
