Power steering problem

I tried searching for issues, but my car is fully stock. I wanted to ask where I should start to trouble shoot my problem. The power steering fulid level was abit low so I filled it only to max level. It did help alittle but turning does become hard off and on while driving. Where should I look into next? And I did notice my belt might need replacing soon, could this be an issue too? Thanks in advance.

Belt slip could be the issue but I doubt it as it only happens while driving. The belt, even if slipping ought to be able to spin the pump fast enough for the steering. I'm thinking more like the pump is giving out. You said you had to add fluid, is it leaking anywhere?
