Please watch this video. It shows how my belt is moving under load. I think my power steering pulley is the root cause. I read a few posts about how to align the pulley but I can't seem to get it right. Blower is a Kenne Bell Mammoth.
I am wondering what to expect. Should the belt not move fore and aft at all? The ps pump has some play on the shaft. About 1/8" of movement can be seen in and out. The belt moves on the water pump idler too.
Can the play in the power steering be eliminated with a bushing behind the pulley or something? Does a vendor make a modified pump with no play?
Thanks for watching and providing opinions.
