last night at the track i went to do a burnout and as soon as i shifted to 2nd gear the car started to loose power.you could see the rpms dropping untill about 2k and at that point i just let off and move forward.this has never been a problem before.
does anyone know what can be the cause of this?
i had to finish the night doing 1st gear burnouts.
by the way the car is an auto with 4.10s and a 3200 stall

Probably not enough water on the tires. I like to also start my burn outs a foot away from the water after I pass through. If you pull to far out its a hell of alot sticker. I had this happen to me two weeks ago in our race car, we kept pushing through the line lock. I started my burn out just at the edge of the burnout box and it solved my problem. If that doesn't work you need more power to do a second gear burn with out hurting the car, or the converter :beerdrink: Sometimes the track just doesn't lay enough water down, and unless your making alot of power it will bog you down.
