Thinking about doing the D1sc upgrade to my very old p1sc.

Some dumb questions for my Procharged Brotha's:

1) with my gt500 fuel kit and the 60lbs injectors what would the rwhp limits be on that. Also with stock heads shouldn't I have maxed out flow or come close..haha Im trying to see if its worth it.. I'm at 530rwhp now.

2) I'm running the 14-15 lbs pulley and have the 12lbs belts and pulley. Once the transmechanical surgery is done will the pulley size and belts still crate the same boost? IE> if I'm running the p1sc at 15lbs now and upgrade it and drop it in will it still show 15lbs?

3).. I got my kit a long time ago and believe I have the stage 2 intercooler.. but lets pretend I dont have a fucking clue... is there a way to verify.. Are the physical sizes the difference or internal?

I can only help with #1...

Marc S on the forum maxed his D1 out in the mid 700's with GT500 pump, 60# injectors, and a BAP with the stock return less fuel system. He was over 95% duty cycle though IIRC. I believe he has upgraded to a return style system now.

I had it on the dyno today, repaired the FRPP TB and put it back on. I also fixed some drivability issues. It put down 705whp on pump gas. The GT500 pumps w/BAP, 60# injectors are just like you said, 95% duty cycle. On race gas, the fuel system is maxed.

I have not upgraded to a return system yet.

well I'm sure the cams helped also. Did you do any head upgrade?

It sounds I should be able to get to 600rwhp with the SC upgrade alone.. I hope..

I was not sure if the SC alone was holding me back.

marc-how much boost ?

The pump gas tune has 18.5 lbs of boost and 17 degrees of timing.

The 127550's were worth 59whp over the 127350's. My heads are also ported. The intake flows a little less than Livernois but my exhaust port flows a little more than theirs.

With the stock engine and headers, I made 569/481 with 15lbs.

Ok, got my unit mocked up and standing by. So have all you ProChargers guys used the issued hose clamps with no problems?
I was thinking of using T-bolt type clamps just to make sure nothing comes loose. A little wider and more secure clamp; but about 5 bucks each!!!! Times 16.
Can always use that money elsewhere

Thoughts??

I used to clamps that came with the kit everywhere except where the intake pipe mates up to the throttle body. During the first two dyno pulls, at about peak boost, the clamp popped flew across the room. Swapped it out for a T-bolt clamp and never had another problem.

I'm using the clamps that came with the procharger at the moment but i have heard of this issue before. Also the intercooler piping is a good place to put the t-bolts too.

Yeah no problems with the supplied clamps at 10 and 14psi, but t-bolt clamps are added insurance and worth the investment once you step the boost up.
