Paul I just spent an hour reading this entire thread . Love the entire set up.
You need to get the PG and 200 shot is nothing for that big of a motor with those heads . With all that tq off the bottle you should be just fine . Are you going to run a Plate ?
Maybe I missed it somewhere but , How fast are you planning on running ? Whats your goal ?

Yes, I agree, if I was to run nitrous all the time, then the PG would be perfect. But I only want to break out the N20 on special occasions, like when Chevykiller or Ken3030 is in the other lane and I want to kick their ass. Other then that I want to run it N/A and be very consistent so I can start winning some rounds in PSCA.

My goal is 9.20s on the motor and ??? on the bottle. It would be nice to have a few 8.9X timeslips but who knows at this point.

Now when I get the engine dyno'd, I plan on posting up the dyno sheet along with the weight of the car---only then will I make a final decision on the trans and converter. Also at that point I will be able to put together some expectations with regards to the ET.

Got it , I understand. If you run 9.20s on motor your going to easily go low 8s with the 200 shot.
Why not put a liberty in it ? Is the difference in money too much?
I would just put a bad azz PG in it. and not worry about the tranny again.
Another thing you need to consider is when your making that much power the converter stall will be very important which Im sure you already know , Lets say your stall is 5500 , once you spray it thats going to stall past 6500 easily its going to slip going down track. You need to make the converter tighter which when you hit it off the line is going to be a monster, but off the bottle will be a little sluggish.
We have a bunch of cars running sb 408s with bottle and a glide , sure there a bit lighter at 3100 to 3200 lbs but they all are in the mid to lower 8s.
Your motor is much bigger. so I dont see it as a problem at lets say 3500 lbs , it should make enough torq on muscle to leave pretty good , and be ridicules on spray.
Still the best thing to do is get you hp/tq numbers 1st and then go from there . :thumb:

In order to do a Liberty transmission in his car you're looking at over $10K for the transmission, bellhousing, clutch setup, shifter, pedal setup, changes to crossmembers, etc, etc. Killer glide/converter.....$6K or so at the most.

Thats what I thought, super expensive, but that would be a killer setup for N/A or Nitrous.

ordered a cool firewall kit from SW race cars today. Only $49 for the sheet metal to seal the trunk from the passenger compartment.

Since my fuel cell is in the trunk now (not running the stock gas tank) this will be needed in order for me to be legal. Hopefully UPS won't fuck this one up.

I think you need to order one of these.

Got my replacement Skinny Kid Race Car wing from Barry today, and it arrived from UPS in perfect shape! I took off the rear spoiler today and the GT fender badges. The adhesive was a bitch to take off, but several coats of goo-gone eventually worked.

Barry is great to deal with, took care of the UPS claim very fast.

Will be putting the wing on this weekend, then I will un bolt it and send it off to paint.

Still haven't decided on the hood. What should I do? Should I continue the Boss 429 theme and go with the CJ scoop from Ford Racing ($450)---or should I go with this cowl hood from VFN?

I am not sure how to go about that with a dominator. Wonder if someone makes a shaker setup for a dominator?

Also, I am experimenting with some side decals to replace the badges. Too much? Too big? Different font perhaps? A voice in my head (I think its Chevykillers) is saying they are fine. But I am thinking they are a little big.
