Hate the shitty trumpet sound as well. Reminds me of the retard coal roll guys. Those trucks trumpet like no other.

I had a local exhaust shop weld in some magnaflow "flow through" and they really helped the rasp and trumpet after I put in an off road x pipe.

I went through the same exhaust search with my car. I had a set of Corsa's and really liked them, with the stock catted H pipe. When I went cat less, with an X pipe, I hated them, they became very raspy and trumpeting. In my search for a replacement, I tried several different brands, looking for something straight through and finally ended up with a set of Zoomers, along with a pair of added resonators. Unfortunately Zoomers doesn't make them for the Mustang anymore. so the sound can't be duplicated.

Way off topic, but I have a Innovators West 10% overdrive balancer if you would like it for real cheap for you.

I had my new dynomax resonators installed today. Idle sounds much deeper but haven't had a chance to drive it. Hoping it removes the trumpeting. If not... Well I'll figure it out.

In addition, it Took me two days and 4 master sets of wheel locks but I finally found my wheel lock key today so new springs and Brembo brake install will be tomorrow. Lol

I've never run into this issue before. With my cars, I keep a canvas envelop with them that has all information for like insurance, registration, tuner, wheel lock, etc and this was the first time I've misplaced it. It ended up being located mixed in a drawer of old lugs in my tool box. Lol

Drove the car about 70 miles with the new exhaust setup (Dynomax Bullet's welded in). It sounds unbelievable better. Very little trumpeting and when I row through the gears slowly its very smooth.

Hands down one of my favorite cars ever!

It sounds vicious at idle and those wheels fit perfectly and look amazing on there.

Great sounding combo Cam. Can you give us a rundown of what the exhaust is made up of now?

2" American Racing Headers with 3" OR X Pipe
Dynomax Bullet Mufflers welded into the OTA's
Corsa Sport Mufflers

Hands down one of my favorite cars ever!

It sounds vicious at idle and those wheels fit perfectly and look amazing on there.

Thanks guys. I'm very content with the exhaust sound now. It's become really hard to get it right, but after crushing for a couple hours tonight, I can't be happier with how it can be really smooth when I'm slowly going through the gears or when I mash it, Satan himself screams through the exhaust pipes.

That is like the holy grail of exhaust right there.
