The bypass valve is vacuum driven. When it sees vacuum, it should be open; when no vacuum is present, it should close. My experience with the blower is on my 3V with the DOB setup and there is nothing but a vacuum line from the manifold to the BPV. I don't know if there is a more complicated setup with the GT500 setup, but since lack of vacuum closes the valve, I'm not sure how there would be electronic overrides (I certainly could be wrong). I assume you've checked and double checked the vacuum lines?

BTW, awesome build! I haven't been on this forum a lot but I have been following this build. Nice job!

While vacuum has a lot to do with it, the throttle positioning is linked directly to it actuating open/closed. Such as when you are driving slowly it stays open but when you progressively get into the throttle it begins to shut more and more. The GT500's computer system can override this and that is how the cars came when they were brand new; in order for the supercharger to be activated you needed to do some assorted number of key cycles (25?), and the ECU would unlock the functionality of the blower. I've seen a problem before where the ECU has locked off the bypass valve from functioning correctly on a GT500 and I am trying to figure out if that is what's happening to me. Thanks for following the build! Hoping to fix this shit and enjoy the car. I love driving it.

The vacuum lines are all secure from what I could tell and I took the car out again. No boost, zero engine codes and still have my U2011 problem. Next week I'll be reprogramming the as built data and if that doesn't change anything, I may believe it could be a problem with dash harness.

I've also managed to find a auto dimming mirror with the compass on eBay and we could also believe it has to do with the active alarm sensors that would be located in the overhead map light - if anyone has one of those available for sale, let me know.

Edit:

Just got some insight on this.

I need to reprogram the RCM to the VIN of the GT500 PCM. The individual also specified that I need to purchase a new ABS module and program that to the VIN of the vehicle PCM too, but I'm not entirely sure I need that since I do not have an ABS light.

Well... I'll continue this next week. Time for bed.

Ah, that makes sense. So while the BPV is still just controlled by vacuum, since the throttle obviously controls whether there's vacuum or not they can indirectly control the BPV by the ECU via the throttle.

This reprogramming stuff all sounds pretty complicated so I hope you can get it figured out so you can just get out and enjoy the car.

It's confusing at first but after a while you learn that cans/cants/possibles of these interface modules. This problem has provided a large challenge for the techs too though... Lol

Just made a TEK tread on the RCM

However, I'm stupid and should have realized I needed a different ABS module to begin with the GT500 uses a completely different one compared to the GT. A new RCM has been ordered too.

Took the car down to the car wash though today. Ah the joys of looking at freshly cleaned paint where you can see all the scratches.

Had no luck today with swapping out the RCM or attempting to rig the vaccuum lines to bypass the computer. The car still will not generate any boost and I've got a traction light and t/c button is set to off on default.

Going to swap ABS module when I get a chance.

Another problem I'm now experiencing is both of the Aeroforce gauges have gone to shit. One of them will only turn on if the car is in ignition -> accessory but will black out once the engine is started and it also now has a fantastic dead pixel line that goes vertical... and the other one is just dead and only blinks the red shift light every 30 seconds.

VICTORY!!!

Swapped out the ABS module to a new GT500-specific one and the codes vanished. It was a combination of the RCM and the ABS module. Zero dash lights mofo's!

However, I am still troubleshooting the supercharger issue. Now that I've ruled out that the computer was preventing it and Sam explained to me how to bypass the computer control of it... I'm led to believe the BPV is broken and needs to be replaced. The car pulls hard down low but it hesitates like it is waiting for the blower to intervene.

Either way, I'm happy I fixed one issue with the Traction Light / TC Button / ABS / RCM ordeal.

And just because it looks so good... I gotta share moar pics.

Awesome news about the codes! Keep us posted about the Aeroforce gauges. I was just about to order a dual gauge setup. I may wait a bit now...

Congrats on the victory today! That had to feel VERY good!

You have no idea... it's been a constant uphill war and I've claimed victory on a battle today.

PM coming.

Hell yeah Cam! That motor looks damn good sitting in there

I agree... My office at this store is in viewing distance of the car so I pop the hood and glance over at it every now and again, LOL, and it seems to draw a customer crowd too.

I've owned AF gauges before and never had a problem like this. I'm just pissed off since I need them to work so I can detect my vac/boost for this supercharger problem. I left them an email but will be calling tomorrow for assistance.

Cam, good work troubleshoot the problems, I new you figure it out.

Thanks Joe, I knew I'd figure it out sooner or later. I had a new dash harness and GT500 instrument cluster waiting to go in if these didn't fix the problem. SO glad I didn't have to pull the dash again.

Sometimes I have to just unplug my AF gauges and then plug them back in, sometimes I have to do it 3-4 times to get them to start working.

Glad you're making progress.

Is it possible for something to be in the way of the bypass valve preventing it from moving through it's full range?

Do you have a number for them?

I tried calling them before. The only number I could come up with was disconnected.
I tried getting in touch with them on their Facebook page, they kept linking me to their web site and the online manuals.
Apparently they don't want any phone calls

The BPV is activated by an actuator rod that sits on the back of the supercharger that closes the flap or lets it open. I've had it configured the normal way (through the computer) and I set it up analog via activated by vacuum only and no difference. I'm thinking it is broken and not doing its job. I'll be ordering a new one and seeing if that helps.

I haven't looked yet, but I remember when you had your problems, I saw your comments between them on my Facebook newsfeed.

Aeroforce: Would you like a chance to be featured in our next blog? Please go to our Twitter page (https://twitter.com/AeroForceTech) "Like" us and then upload this picture of your gauge and @Aeroforcetech using the hashtag #Aeroforcegauge. The most unique options we see will be featured in our next blog.

Gabe: I'm not on Twitter

_________

Gabe: Why don't you guys have a phone number for customers to call?

Aeroforce: We have put our resources into our tech forum, facebook, twitter, faq and email support to provide the quickest and easiest support for our products!

LOL... I hate companies that have no phone number, I like to get my answers quick and simple... not go through the theatrics of FAQ/tek forums.

But... can someone share some pictures of how they have the boost analog input hooked on the back of their gauge? And where did you tap the 12V power? I'm confused by the directions on the 0-5v input and then the 12v input in the middle.
