after hearing Terry's (Tiger) setup with the Borla Tourings that is the only thing I would go with when I do long tubes and no cats. Sounded mean but not raspy an he said he had zero drone which is a huge deal to me as mine is a DD.
I really wish I could find some aftermarket cats I trust and run FR500/KR mufflers. IMO those are the best sounding mufflers on the 3V/5.4.
Why not run the 2013 stock mid with the KRs out back? I would imagine that all you would have to do some minor cutting/welding on the KR joint to get it to work.
Finally solved the rear clunking issue yesterday, turned out that the UCA mount was't tight enough and not enough grease in the bushing. Tightened all that up and now it's 100% quiet in the rear. That sound was driving me mad.
I can't say the same for the squealing engine. Took the belt off yesterday and looked at the routing of all the pulleys and still couldn't find out what it is, it definitely sounds like something is off though and our mechanics and I just can't pin point it. Like I said it only does this during a cold start and remains until the engine has been driven at operating temperature for 5-10 minutes/ basically when the belt becomes warm and starts sticking versus fighting one of the groves that sounds like it isn't aligned properly.
Still need to take time and replace strut mounts too and figure out another exhaust setup... really want to go stock H with FR500 mufflers. Still temped for a TVS but keep thinking about porting this eaton and doing a lower to see what it makes.
