Maybe this will help.. Compare the torque arm to the upper control arm. They both have the same job of holding your rearend from rotating right over. And they both push against the car to plant the wheels when you hit the go peddle. But the torque arm is way longer and ideally has more weight acting against it. Planting the wheels better.

I can't see any reason why you can't do the Griggs Watts link without the torque arm. Anybody running any Watts link without a torque arm can tell you whether they feel it was a worth while mod. I think my Watts link made an improvement but it hard to know for sure as I made many changes all at once not a scientific test. I believe you should always look for solutions that do more with less. Griggs, Techco and mine do that those others don't.

You should have stopped right there.

How well either a TA or a 3-link "plants" the tires is a function of the actual installed geometry of either the TA or the 3rd link. Think 3rd link side view inclination and IC vs TA length, chassis side pivot point height, and its IC. IOW, a TA is not better just because it's a TA; it would have to have better geometry to be better.

The virtual length of a 3-link suspension can be longer than the whole car, not that you'd really want it to be that way.

I have the Fay's 2 Watts. It only makes noise when something is loose. As far as cornering, I can say it made my car turn alot faster. It feels as if the ass end is cornering with you. Also, the rear end is more planted over uneven pavement. It's adjustable for over or understeer. I have 1 notch above center for a little oversteer.

If you torq the axel clamps to spec, they will not move.

I'm sure they will move when you hit a wall doing 170 mph though.

+1 fays 2

Btw it's been on my daily driver supercharged bullitt for 3 years without a hitch, and I don't baby it.

When you grow up one day you'll put on your big boy pants ON and drive at a real track ...instead of some cones bitch !

I have driven on "real track" you useless troll. You've got a red dot next to your name for good reason. You can't comment on anything without making a snide remark or acting like a know-it-all. Fuck you and your churlish, superior attitude.
