Just placed my order for my Circle D converter. They are offering 10% off and free shipping today...and there is no way I could say no to that. Tossed between the 2C or 3C in the 258mm for the PD setup, but after talking to the gang at VMP (who weren't the least bit offended for me going direct) I went with the 2C setup which equates to a 3200-3400 stall. Looking forward to being able to leave a little harder off the line than the factory stall converter in 2018. Should hopefully pick up a 10th or two. Guess the only thing in addition I may need will be to upgrade the Lakewood 50/50 rear shocks to a QA1 or Viking adjustable.

Great help at Circle D. Another top notch provider of performance parts.

These were my Lakewood 90/10 struts after about a year of street driving. I was having the hardest time tracing down this front end rattle/noise and came across the struts which apparently came apart on the inside. I swapped back in my Bilsteins but left the Lakewood 50/50's on the back. Haven't had any issues with them but I might switch back to the Vikings for peace of mind. I've used Lakewood in the past and this was the first issue that I can remember. But I also had them on track only cars and don't know if maybe they can't handle the day to day use on the street. The Vikings are good but were just too much adjust-ability with them for me. I was going crazy playing around with the settings.

Man that is different.

The 50/50's have done well for me on the street and at the track as well. I ran Strange single adjustable's up front for 2017. They have been fine. I just thought with the ability to leave a little bit harder I may need some adjustability on the back in the event 50/50 wasn't enough. The QA1's I am considering are a single adjustment for the back. I'm not hard core track so I really don't feel I need a dual adjustable, but I may go with the Vikings anyway being they are just a few bucks more than the QA1's. Not sure. Will ponder it and decide next spring. I want to make a few passes on the existing before making any changes after teh converter goes in.

I'm really considering a stall as my next major mod; I just wish I could drive someone's car that already has it done so I can make sure I'd like it first. LOL

I'm just trying to figure out how to tell my wife about it......At least it on a 4-6 week lead time. So it won't arrive before Christmas and ruin it. LOL! I don't need it until March or April when the track opens back up anyway. Should also give me time to pick up a line lock before then as well.
