They still charged me 100 $

So is this real Pypes delete ? Or homemade pipes with 4 inch Pypes tips.

They need clean up really bad. Did I get screwed?

Fuck it, even if they are homemade it is kinda hard to mess up a straight pipe. Just hope it fits with no problem.. Will buff the hell out of it tonight

Is that why you are selling her in a different thread?

Let me know when you want to put em' on and we can get it done in probably 30 minutes (counting stopping for beer).

Looks like the real deal..bends are nicer than any sorta local place could make. I personally don't think you got raped unless you pulled these out of their scrap bin or something. Either way though $100 for muffler deletes isn't that bad if the fit is decent..but IMO that's what they should cost new in the first place.

The place I got them from http://www.richs-performance-mufflers.com/ only does custom exhaust. He told me he pulled these off a mustang that had Pypes mid pipe mufflers because they were "too loud". I am a :newbie: so not sure exactly what he was talking about.

And yes they were in the scrap bin.. There were several other mufflers and misc sizes of scrap pipe.

?

If:
-the fit is good,
-you like the sound,
-and they don't look like ass when you're done polishing them...

Then, I really don't see the ass raping they're talking about. Just my 2¢...

I just put on a set of Pypes real deal Muffler deletes. If the top wear it goes into the over axle has 2 slits in it, then it is a pypes, and also if it is stainless. They use clamp on tips so you can adjust the crappy fit.

Also, you have to gring off the little tab on the stock over axle or they will not sit right on the hangers.

As for fit, I have to bend the passenger side rear hanger, it pushes the tip to the far outside, not straight. Not a big deal. And also give the front hanger a little bend since the pipe hits the bracket and rattles, again, nothing major.

My car is loud with my magnaflow mid mufflers, no rasp but a nice crack, no drone also.

Thanks! from the pic it looks like it has the "slits" you are referring to. I know the tips are stainless but the pipes are so dirty I'm not sure.

LOL. That too. I threw mine out and had a shop make some tail pipes up for me in an attempt to get a mid-muffler setup fit well (didn't work).

I was wondering if anyone would get that. Yeah, same thing here. I had a set of Violators that I spent hours trying to get lined up properly. I thought I was just stupid until I read about problems that other people have had.

Pypes sound great but their fitment leaves something to be desired.
