Yes however they do have a different clutch assy.

IMO the trans isnt the issue with the 5.0s, its the clutch assembly. Anyone who has gone to an aftermarket clutch has seen most of their issues go away (except for the whining, it is just inherent).

The dealer put in an RXT for me when Ford replaced my tranny (locked up in 5th) and I have had no problems shifting at high rpms, power shifting, etc.

^+1 several friends have new 5.0. most have had the clutch issue. Once that was fixed no complaints
