So I just purchased the QA1 Dual Adjustable 175lb Coil-Overs fronts and QA1 Dual Adjustable Rear shocks.

I am currently running the Cobra Jet Springs in the rear. I can't find the exact spring rate, but I'm guessing they are somewhere in the 145-150 range.

I was reading over on yellowbullet and some of those guys are running 300-400lbs springs in the rear.

Should I be going for a stiffer spring? Why are they running such a stiffer spring?

Here is the weight of the car with me in it...

Also, it's an Aluminum Block GT500 drivetrain...

2010+ Cobra Jet rears springs. I'm running them with strange double adjustable rears and coil overs in the front.

After you subtract the unsprung weight you end up at about 1300 lbs. on the rear. Afco recommends 140 lbs. springs.

Afco 2011 catalog. Page 27. The chart is for coil-over springs and they say it's a baseline and you may need to fine tune it.

I'm running Steeda Tokico coil-overs with a 10" 175#. My best 60' is a 1.53. I'm going put in 140# springs in the next few weeks and I'll let you know how they work.
