The noise I get is clunking like noises when I turn the car left.

Strangely, I don't get that noise when turning right - go figure.

Any idea what it could be?

I had all the bolts retightened but it didn't help so I doubt its a loose bolt.

Its driving me nuts.

I think there is something called an anti clunk spacer that takes up the bit slack between the bolt and the bolt hole, but I guess it depends which UCA you have.

I'm using J&M adj UCA and J&M LCA.

Those are the poly bushing ones.

Now, it's not like one clunk but a series of clunks as I'm still turning left. Something to do with lateral G forces creates the noise.

I know you re-checked the torques...but something is loose or maybe one of your bushings is shot. I had the same issue with one of my LCAs and re-torqued everything and it went away. 129ftlb is a lot of torque...I'd re-check everything.

Did you completely lub the bushing inside and out before you installed them, and put anti-seize on the bolts.

I lubed it really well.

No anti-sieze though.

I gunna have to go underneath the car soon and check it all out.

Annoying.

Did you re-use the stock UCA mount? If you did, you may be getting some clunking from there when it is paired up with an aftermarket UCA.

Have you changed anything else in the suspension, such as sway bars or springs? I have UMI upper and lowers with a stock upper, I used the spacers they make to take up the extra bit of slop in stock mount. I have also changed struts springs and sway bars, and recently started having issues with a popping/clunking noise. I had the car on the lift for a few days while doing clutch, flywheel, headers and other things, afterwards I started having the clunk, most of the time while turing, it was very random as well. All the suspension work had been done for about 3000 miles so I didnt think it could be that, but the last thing I did was loosen and re-torque the bolts for the sway bar end links. After that I didnt have the noise any more. Might be something worth looking into.

I would suggest upgrading the stock UCA mount. It tends to clunk with aftermarket UCAs, I had the same problem and it went away as soon as I installed BMRs mount.

I did re-use the stock UCA mount.

I did install an adj panhard bar sometime ago in a separate install but that has not given me any problems - though it might be a source of noise if something got loose on it.

I would put money on it that your problem is the aftermarket UCA with the stock mount....unless you used stepped spacers.
