Hey 05 Roush racer, let me know if you might be interested in my head unit. If I had it sold it would make getting a new one a lot easier on the wallet.
I'm not exactly ready to buy, but what you got??

I've had my Kenwood touch screen for years and I love it till this day. One of my favorite mods I've done.

I've got a Kenwood Excelon DNX891HD. BADASS head unit. It will be going into the new car as soon as my speakers get in.

I'm not a fan of the way aftermarket double din head units look so I'm about to pick up an OEM navigation. Does anyone know if there is anything else I will need or is it a direct plug and play top my Shaker 500 system? Does it already come with Bluetooth and am I able to run a backup camera to it?

If it's a shaker 500 head unit it should've plug and play.

I'm assuming it's a GPS and backup unit though?

If you Google around you'll find some threads on it on some other forums. I was interested in what it took to do it and some poor soul went through 20 pages worth of shit to get it to work for the most part. There was something to do with the nav acting funny when going through tunnels and an error that needs to be dismissed at startup if I recall correctly. The person went through all the avenues he could think of to figure out what the missing link was between factory equipped nav cars and standard radios. I don't remember anything about Bluetooth or cameras being mentioned.

In short, I'd suggest going with an aftermarket unit. My pioneer AVH4400BT has been flawless, was easy peasy to install, and looks/sounds great.

That's one of my choices now. Glad to hear that.

I had a pioneer avic-z140bh in my old truck and was very happy over all. It seems like the new model avic-z150bt went down in ratings and some regret the upgrade who have had both.

There are a lot of choices so the decision is not easy.
