Hello guys, some of you remember me, some of you don't.

I currently have my torch red 2005 Mustang GT sitting with a 4.6 3v motor I built and a 76mm Hellion kit, tuned by Greg @ RET putting down 622rwhp. The car is a blast, it has been my weekend warrior and it is a beast on the street. My real passion is road race which I used to do before the turbo went in, and its time to get back into that competitively! This week I pulled the motor/turbo out of the car and it is for sale. PM if interested, I am asking fair prices, and willing to split shipping.

The plan for this build is taking out the Autopower 6 point bolt in roll bar, going full cage, going with the FRPP Coyote Motor with long tubes, but otherwise stock for now. I am not hungry for power, I want something light that will run cool and not cause me problems. After the car is dialed in, I will do H/C/I and see how much power I can get out of it.

I plan to run this in Redline Time attack as well as some NASA HDPE events. I will also hit all the opentrackracing.com events as usual. Just figured nobody does road race build threads on here, so I would start mine. This should be a decently fast paced build, as soon as the motor and turbo sell, its time to buy the coyote!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iFrqWsBHoM last video of the car before tearing it down, on some super sexy 96 GT wheels since I had slicks on my other rims.

We all know how much of a joy it is to get the fuel hat in the tank. I am going full return with a Fuel Safe cell, so I sold off my fuel system.

The cage will be modeled after Paul Brown's badass 2011 car:

I will be taking the rest of the interior out and removing all sound deadening this weekend, the end result will be to have cage + gutted dash in, but no other interior. Many props to Matt D in his Young Punk Build 4 thread which has inspired the weight reduction.

Going with the forged Coyote?

still debating. I have my motor and turbo for sale, ether together or pieces or shortblock or whatever, and then I have my 1968 M35A2 that I bought and got in perfect working order that I am going to sell to help fund this. So depending on my patience level and how long it takes to sell, we will see which motor I will end up with. Right now I am leaning towards the $6500 base coyote motor, because I am most likely going to want to go all out with an N/A motor in a couple years, so I would like to spend the least possible to get something solid and reliable for now that still has good power.

Sweet Build man! Greg is great to deal with! I've been using him for 3 years now. I'll be heading to him again this year for my SC tuning!

What's up bro! It's been a long time! Glad to see you back, and even happier to see you doing a Coyote swap!

This should be another great build to follow!

haha whats up nick, your 2011 looks sick btw!

yeah it is time for a change for me. all that power and nothing to do with it. I am more at home on the road course anyway. kinda bummed this thread got moved to pix and vids since it is more of a build thread, but whatever.

Once it gets moving I'll put it back in '05+ tech.

Most guys put their build threads in Pimpin' It now, but this will be very technical, so you have my approval for the 3V tech section.

I gotta wait until it's underway though.

Holy crap, is that Paul Brown of HPMotorsports? HPM used to be a mod shop in Omaha, NE... Sure looks like him. If so, he helped me put my motor and trans in my old stang. Super nice guy!
