Forgot to add this in my last post. But I'm also looking to change out my rims to the bullit style ones and my thoughts were to just get the stock ones from ford however I called them and they told me they probably can't get them and all the ones online are pretty expensive per rim if I was to go with the American muscle ones or if theres any other brands would they be as good

Just an fyi, those OEM Bullitt wheels will not fit large caliper brakes, if you are planning on upgrading to larger brakes such as Brembo or StopTech, plan your wheels for that now as well. If you are going to do autocross or track days, you may want something wider. Also how big of tire are you planning on? You may want a 10" wide wheel, something to consider....

I honestly wasn’t even sure what I was going to do but I don’t plan on doing any racing probably going to end up just doing bolt ons or go the supercharger route but other then that don’t expect much else

I am going through this hassle now. I bought bullit style rims from AM last year now to find out I can’t fit 4 piston Brembos without spacers and I don’t think you can run spacers up front.

I'm in similar situation that I have to deal with pretty soon. Recently bought a mustang and it came with black Bullitt rims from AM. Front tires are close to worn out and I do plan on getting Brembo up front down the road, so I may just have to get rid of my set and get another set of rims and tires that will clear big brakes.

my 2 cents... get wheels that will handle big brakes. If you juice the power you will NEED those big brakes! Your choice of wheels will be somewhat fewer but you don't necessarily have to pay more.

The OE 18x8.5 (?) 2008 bullitt wheels will handle the GT500 brakes with a spacer. Also makes the car look a lot better.

What side spacers and are they safe on the front wheels. I have 20" bullit style wheels from AM and a 1.5" drop.

I've been running 1/4" front spacers for months, triple digit speeds many times and "spirited" cornering pretty much anytime I drive the car. 18x10 front wheels with 285/40/18 tires.
Stock lugs, no issues.

1/4 would not bother me too much but I think to fit brembos may require up to 1"

Bullitt-style wheels are not BBK friendly - the curve of the wide spoke is typically near the center of the wheel, which leaves no radial clearance for a proper caliper. Believe me, I tried to make it work and ended up with Forgestar F14s.

get 7/8 bolt on spacers for the front with extended studs, using 2008 Bullitt wheels.

I ran 1" in the rear.

Problem was I could not widen the rear wheels or have the wheels refinished for 3x what a set of AMR wheels cost.

I have billet style wheels in the 20" size with deep dish in the rear. Trying to figure out space size for the basic 4 pot brembos.
