I'm saying you should disconnect the battery after or while you are doing the sensors.

Oh Ok but if he take it in to get those done they will do that. The O2 sensors are not that easy to get to..

Believe me, I know. I did them on my car when it was running lean. I ended up having to remove the one exhaust manifold to get it done.

Lean codes are more likely due to a vacuum leak or the tune being off. 02s go bad, but the other two are more likely.

thats a vacuum line so definitely fix that clip. normally a vaccum leak will cause the engine to run rich because your losing vacuum and thats what the engine bases fuel pressure on. Sometimes though the computer will correct for the rich condition and make it lean. fix the clip and try that out. im a Ase Master tech and a ford mechanic. trust me when i say a fuel filter on a car that gets driven doesnt go bad. ive never EVER seen one fix a problem. people will change them at regular intervals, which is fine, but the retards i would work with would change one and reset a CEL and every time people come back and its always something else. dont change 02 sensors because it says its running lean, 9 times out of 10 thats the 02 sensor doing its job because your engine is running lean. Also your not supposed to clean a ford MAF, not sure about an aftermarket one that may come with an intake but they are extremely sensitive sensors and intake or brake parts cleaner will damage them!
