sending units or gauge packs

Since I have owned my car about a month after the gas gauge would either not work or work. Seems to work fine on warm days or after car has been driven a while.

Now the temp gauge is doing the same. And oil sometimes reads low. But after car is fully warm everything works fine if I turn it off and back on.

I know the gauge pack issues seem to be all the time from whay I searched. So could I be looking at new sending units or sensors? Just want to make sure before I order the new gauge packs.

Sounds more like the stepper motors that are acting up. Mine started failing on mine so I ordered new ones and replaced them myself. It was not failing or not but more temperature dependent until they completely stopped working. Mine started with the speedo and then started happening with other gauges.

There should be a write up in the DIY section if I remember correctly about replacing them.

Just go in the diy section and do a title search for stepper and you'll see it.
