I'll be at the Shelby booth for the NY Auto Show. Should be interesting to check it out in person

Wonder if those are JLT separators on there?

I wonder how "round" those numbers are? There were two "800HP" KB GT500 SS's at the Spokane International Mustang meet last fall. They were both right around 600HP wheel on a dynojet IIRC.

complete around $200K, what do you need the other 60K for?

From what I read, and correct me if I read it wrong, it will cost 149k for the 950hp street version and 200k for the 1100hp race version.... both prices are before buying a GT500.... The extra 60K would be for the purchase of the GT500.

I took this statement to mean it would include the car

A completed Shelby 1000 is expected to be approximately $200,000.

I can't believe they used that crappy looking Autometer pod set up, rivets in view and all, ughh..

interesting how the race version uses the 4.0L Whipple and the "street" version the KB

A limited production of Shelby 1000s will be built, each numbered and documented. The post-title package for the Shelby 1000 starts at $149,995, not including the base GT500. A completed Shelby 1000 is expected to be approximately $200,000.

the 200 includes the car.

I love a mustang, and even Shelby's for that matter, but for $200,000... I'll purchase 3 separate mustangs and modify them myself.
