Shelby GT500 18" KR's and SuperSnake 20's

Just picked up two sets of Shelby wheels. (4) 18" Shelby GT500KR Alcoa Forged wheels, and (4) Shelby SuperSnake 20x9 Forged Alcoa's. 18" KR's are used, but in good shape(tires are toast). 20" SuperSnakes are the super rare one's with SHELBY FORGED SUPER SNAKE on the wheel lip, and are new with Ford TPMS sensors and bands. What are they worth?

20" Acolas w/o tires prob around $1800-$2000, but thats just a guess.

The 18" GT500KRs wheels and tires.....No clue, but you should prob trade those my custom wheels. I need to go back to 18s.

i would expect both sets to go for 2K+ if they are in mint condition.

The 18's are super rare for you can only get them if you own a KR, I've seen this go for over 4k and if the 20's do say Super Snake on them they are worth $2500-$3000 for the regular 20 inch Alcoas are $500.

^^^^^if they are all four stamped "Supersnake" I would say they are more along the line of 4-5K, the only way to get those is if you buy a "Supersnake" Mind telling us how you aquired both of those extremely rare sets of wheels?

I found them locally on Craigslist, and bought them because I knew they were super rare. Figured the KR's were worth 250-300 each, and the SuperSnakes 400-500 each. Sounds like the 20's being actual SUPER SNAKE embossed wheels make them worth a good bit more.

the problem with the 20" SS wheels is the offset on the 10" rear wheel. you can only put 295's on them or they will rub

I'm guessing "dad" went on holidays and the crack head son needed some dope cash so he threw them up on craigslist.

There is no way anyone who owns a super snake would sell them on craigslist.

For one if you own a super snake you don't need the cash, you hold onto rims like this for resale later.

Not doubting the story, but I'm guessing the original craigslist seller is up to no good.

Just to be safe, I would run this purchase by local law enforcement. Worst case you lose the rims, but I'm betting the real owner would replace your craigslist spent cash.

not always , my buddy spent like 4k on his SS rims and tires from a guy that did the SS conversion but liked the rims he had . when my friend traded in his shelby GT on a 300SRT8 , he left on full boltons , tuner , SS rims , nitrous and all . some people just have money and dont care , once we all found out we were pissed , we would have bought the parts off the car , once we saw what the dealer gave for the car on trade in , trust me they gave him no more for SS rims or nitrous or any of it .

A dealer wont pay for the bolt on that are on a car you a trading in. They dont care and have the times they take it off and put it closer to stock so they dont have any issues for it returning for problems after the sale.

exactly my point , and y my friend should have taken off his 4-5 k in brand new wheels and tires + all the nitrous , bolt ons and full sounds sytem .

Thats a good theory too.

BUT the guys taking cars in on trade at dealerships know what a Super Snake is, the guy selling these things HAD to know what a Super Snake was and the original poster vaporized.

Still here, following the thread. Seller knew what he had, and what they were worth to him. I guess he needed the money more than he needed the wheels taking up space. I bought the wheels because I knew they are hard to come by, and I could make a few bucks by flipping them.
SuperSnakes came with three of the shelby alcoa boxes, and have never had tires mounted, or been on a car. Since all four are 20x9, I am guessing that they were either bought as spares, or for a project at some point.
I started this thread to find out what other mustang guys thought they were worth, so that when I sold them I could maximize the return on my investment.
