Yeah, well the credit card is wounded but still moving. Looks like I get to throw another $1000-1500 on it.

Warm, but I think I hit oil or something. Turned right at a light and gassed it, next thing I knew the ass end came around and I was going over the curb into the shallow grass ditch. Drove it out, stopped a block away to see if anything was hanging off or broken, then drove home. I've driven through that intersection hundreds of times.

I don't think it gets that cold in florida.

What!!! When I lived there, there were mornings the car was frozen white!!
There is a lot of humidity...so things tend to freeze when the temps rarely go low.

Well I fucked up tonight coming home from dinner. Spun the car straight into a curb. It happened so suddenly that I was unprepared and fucked it up good. Busted out the lower grill, bent the bumper enough that the upper grill won't fit in place any more and bent the rim. Probably bent something in the front end as well because the alignment is off. I'm really pissed at myself right now.

I'm thinking of switching to the GT/CS front bumper. I've always liked the look and this is as good of an opportunity as any. The lower grill insert is gone so if I went back to stock that would need to be replaced anyway.

Tomorrow after work I'm going to pull the bumper cover and see if I can pull the bumper out enough that the grill isn't smashed into my intercooler pump any more. Then I'll run it down to Firestone and get it on the alignment rack (lifetime alignment) to see what is bent under there. I also bent the rim because there's a vibration in that wheel now. Already have a feeler out on IMBOC looking for another stock Bullitt rim.

Well that sucks....that's a tough break..and then some.
On another note, what size IC pump have you get in there right now ?? Is it the stock Roush Bocsh 4 gpm unit ( the 07-12 GT-500 also uses the same 4 gpm pump).

The 13-14 GT-500 cars come with a 8 gpm Bosch IC pump. I believe it's only slightly bigger....and may well fit in the same place. I did some rough math calcs....and the 8 gpm pump may well alleviate some of your IAT issues...come summer time / hot wx. Dunno if it will do anything when sitting at red lights.... but should (on paper) if you have the dual fan afco HE installed.

BTW... on your old engine... when you 1st installed the 1900 blower... I think you started with the largest pulley.. 85mm ? What kind of hp did you get... think it was aprx 460rwhp ? What kind of boost did you get with the 85mm pulley ?

Tnx........ Jimbo

I just got home from work and pulled the bumper off before even getting in the house. The bumper cover is torn and my intercooler heat exchanger was bent slightly at the mounting tabs, which tipped the top forward and pushed the pump into my grill. As soon as I pulled the bottom of the heat exchanger out everything lined back up fine.

On the alignment it looks like the rear A arm mount just slipped in the slotted groove. I'll loosen the bolts and slide it back where it was before then tighten it back down. I'll still get it aligned again to make sure everything is ok.

The wheel is fucked. I spun the tire and the inside rim has about a 1/2" wobble. Hopefully I can come up with another stock Bullitt rim. I don't want to buy a new set of wheels right now.

I have a PM in to Steve for price and availability of a bumper cover. I'll also add on a couple small parts such as the left side bumper mounting clip. My next challenge is finding a good paint shop to spray the bumper for me.

That sucks. Fixable though. Take a good look at the inner tie-rod on that side. They can very easily bend.

The '13/14 GT500 pump is very different. It's shorter, but considerably bigger in diameter. It would require a custom mount. I've considered trying to mount one up on mine, but for the cost, I feel there are better ones out there.

stang67, thanks but that wheel looked kind of rough. I just got off the phone with Steve from Tasca Ford and ordered a new wheel and the GT/CS front bumper kit. Unfortunately the front bumper kit is a month out due to the supplier but I'll patch mine together enough to get around for a few weeks. Being a dark color it's hardly noticeable.

Sam, thanks for the advice on the inner tie rod. I just checked and it appears to be ok. I manually turned the front wheels from lock to lock and there doesn't appear to be any binding.

Steve said the stock bumper could ship in 2 days but I agree that this is the time to upgrade if I am ever going to do it. I'll hit the screw heads with a magic marker to hide them and roll like this until the new bumper is on.
