Yep, don't know, just know that double the speed limit is going to get you a year in jail in Virginia. Might have been running from zombies, just don't know, Dave. I'm sure it was totally legit.

My bad.

I'm sure you always go the speed limit and never, ever wind your car out. Go fuck yourself.

EDIT, I'm sorry, I'm a loser, and my Mustang is just sitting in the garage not running through neighborhoods at double the speed limit and running into other people's buildings.

I am sorry.

Decided you didn't want my address anymore?

I didn't realize that Brian was driving in a neighborhood. You have no clue where he was. If he was doing 99 in a neighborhood, he should go fuck himself too. Take a step off your pedestal and go hassle other people.

We've all done stupid shit in our cars, and I'm sure you have too. Brians a big boy and hes gonna pay for his mistakes.

Wow, this turned ugly. The speeding ticket was 6 weeks ago on a 6 lane highway about 8pm on a Sunday evening. I took off from a light at the front of the line and wound it out through the first 3 gears. When I hit the top of third there still was nobody in front of me for half a mile.

As far as the accident, I already said it was my own fault. Again, absolutely no traffic or pedestrians (I don't fuck around when other cars or people are around) and I punched it from about 45mph to light up the tires. The car jumped sideways and before I could recover I was over the curb and sliding through the grass. Nobody to blame but myself. I'm not used to 640hp and probably have no business driving something that fast. This is my first at-fault accident in 33 years and I deserve to pay for it. This is why I have absolutely no plans of buying another hot rod. I'll readdress the situation in a year or two after I've paid my dues for my errors in judgement.

I seriously doubt there are very many people on the forum that haven't done twice the speed limit at least once.

Shit happens. I've had my car get away from me. The best drivers in the world still lose it sometimes.

As long as you aren't racing through neighborhoods or in traffic, basically endangering other people, I say knock yourself out. Just be prepared for the tickets and so forth.

I'm to chicken to contemplate the number of times I've done things that put my clearance, career, freedom, and life at risk to chastise anyone for automotive tomfoolery - unless they hurt me or my family... the primary factor in my wife's denial of satisfying a desire to own a sport bike.

I feel for ya, Skwerl... I hope for the best possible outcome for you.

Too bad...

99 in a 45 six weeks ago, damn, you are a glutton for punishment.

In Virginia, that will get you up to a year in jail, 6 months without a license, and $2500 in fines without the lawyer fees.

And then you go and wreck your car AFTER this violation happened? Did you learn nothing?

Nice work, stay off the road and maybe other people will live longer.

Yep, as soon as I get a reckless driving ticket that will get me a year in jail and I get on my car so hard and I wreck the shit out of it a few weeks later, feel free to say I told you so.

I'd deserve it.

We all make mistakes, gloating over anothers misfortune never turns out good.

Brian got an eye opener for sure and I'm very glad that nobody got hurt.

Yes, we've all been there...

(true story) One night a Ford Ranger jumped a curb, went flying through a yard, crashed through my house and hit it so hard it threw the water heater, washing machine and dryer into the neighbors yard, missing me, my two younger brothers and my mother and totaled a quarter of the house but missed us who lie asleep in our beds.

So yes, we've all been there, and I'm a douche bag. I'm sorry, I won't post on this thread anymore.

Didn't you just post a quote from the bible about casting judgement?

Thank you for your cession from this post and admitting your character flaw, I don't believe you about not posting though because you also said you were done leveling your duchbaggery skill...
