I've personally seen a GT make 1160 rwhp on stock block and stock fuel system on C16. That is my dream car but prices are only going up on them. So I will probably never own one.

Yes. The motons are remote reservoir shocks. The compression damping is handled in those canisters, while the rebound damping is controlled in the main body.
