So why don't 10in wide square setups work?

I remember as a kid I had a Hot Wheels car that was completely chromed. I believe it was a AMX Javelin. Was my favorite and I kept it for years.

Speaking of AMX Javelins, here is my cousin's in Juneau...

I'm surprised nobody posted the Alcoa Supersnake wheels! Those clear huge brake kits don't they?

Lots of sweet setups on here!

Yes, it is polished aluminum. I started with a new hood from Ford. They come raw aluminum. I then wet sanded it in a couple stages to make it more smooth, and polished it with a DA, wool pad, and Mothers aluminum polish. Was no easy task.

I get that question a lot actually. When I'm in the car I actually can't even tell its polished. I'm almost level with it so I get no reflection at all off it. The only time it can get you is when you walk around the front of the car on a sunny day. At the right angle it reflects full sun right into your face. You have to pretty much be right up on it to have it happen though, so it's never been a real issue.

So have we figured out an offset for 18x10s that will fit? Like "anything from +42 or lower will fit" or something like that?

+38 to about +48 should all fit.
I REALLY wanted LMR SVE Drifts, but since they're out of stock and I can't really wait around...

Probably gonna buy these in +40

Or the AMR wheels - Still worries me that it says "rear fitment only" tho :-/ I like the style better however...

I just ordered four 18x10 SVE Drifts from LMR for the '11 GT I just got. I am trying to decide between 275/40s front and 285/40s rear, or 275/40 square or 285/40 square. The GY Supercar 285/40s are everywhere for cheap but I remember how loud they are so I'm trying to avoid them but they are priced right.

What they said, Squared!

275/40 or 285/40 should be fine (running 285/35 myself)

If you have the funds, look for something a bit nicer than the Goodyears. I don't know where your budget is, but I love my Pilot Super Sports, some of the best tires I have ever had, period.

You might want to check out the Conti Extreme Contact DW if budget is a concern too.

I've had good luck with Nitto 555s and those are also pretty cheap so I might go that route. I will look into the others though, thank you.

My car is white. I will post pics when I get them on. I have AMR springs sitting in a box waiting to go in too.

I am running AMR 20x10" all the way around. 295/30 on the front and 295/35 Pilot Super Sports on the rear. I have Sportlines and Brembo brakes. Clears with no issues. +48mm offset.
