Just bought used kooks axleback and I noticed both axlebacks feels like someone put several handfuls of sand in each one. Seller said its probably just carbon build up from running rich. Does this seem normal I dont want to put a clogged up muffler or something on my car. Jw bc there is alot of it in the muffler. Sorry if this seems newbish

If they have not been installed, turn them on end and shake. See what come s out. 2 options. Contact seller for money back or contact Kooks about possible warranty!

Do you have access to some compressed air? If so, try to blow air through them.

Hopefully he did not have a cat come loose and spill it's guts into the mufflers.....

FI cars have a habit of killing the cats which is why people recommend using the off road pipes; mine came off at the track and clogged my passenger side muffler, it was a mess pulling that junk from the muffler.

Probably some cat pieces, doesn't sound like chunks though from what you're describing.
Just some disintegrated cat material.

I bought a used mid pipe before and grenaded the cats. Clogged up my MAC axel backs.

Read some reviews and figured I collapsed the baffling rendering the mufflers useless so angered and instead of wasting time I just CUT the mufflers off.

I wish I didn't do that. Once they were off a bunch of substrate fell out of them. Live and learn I suppose.

Just never thought it was the Cats cuz I was N/A.

Try to take them to somewhere that has a compressor and blow them out. Chances are they're fine and just full of crap.

Um..........those tips are likely going to stick out far past the rear fascia. Have you mocked them up yet and noticed??
