Ok. I have this burning smell coming from my air vents. I thought it was due to some plastic that got caught under my car. However, that has been a couple months ago. I notice it when I turn on my air or heat and circulate the air inside the cabin. It does not do this when I have the outside air on. Anyone have this issue?? It also only does it at an idle. Any idea's. It would be appreciated.

Cabin located under the passenger side windshield wiper cowl remove the two plastic push pins pull cowl forward and up [gently] and slide cabin filter up and out replace reverse process for re-install.

yeah, try the cabin filter first.
Also, are you using any kind of breathers on the valve covers? Are you smelling crankcase vapors?
