Hey everyone, question about HID bulbs on my 09 Mustang,
A couple years ago, the car had the ford OEM HID assemblies installed and the halogen lights removed. When I bought the car, I’ve noticed that the headlights flicker pretty badly and it makes it hard to drive the car at night. However, what’s really weird is I’ve noticed when I press the brake pedal the flickering immediately stops. When I release the brake pedal the flickering comes back.
I’ve also noticed the flickering doesn’t happen at all when the car is off and you turn on the lights, it seems like I only have the issue when I’m driving.
Has anyone seen something like this before or have any ideas what to run down? If the flickering started when I pressed the brakes, I would believe that I had a problem with a bad battery or with a bad ballast. But since the opposite is happening, I’m not sure why the brakes being tapped would stop the flickering.
