youll be fine with the 3+ mine survived over 500 passes in my own car before being transferred to peters car and its still going strong. id say at least another few hundred passes on it. both cars made 500+ to the tires

Not to discount the problems you or anyone else in this thread has had, I'm actually sorry to hear it. However, many have also had good luck ith the Spec 3+.

Hope they resolve it for you. Good luck.

Man... i've had the Spec 3+ for 10k+ miles and 560rwhp/600rwtq and it's been great. Never slips, drives great, doesn't chatter.... love it. Brenspeed helped install mine and we had no issues

Well, I hope they back there product, what clutch would you guys run? Keep in mind I am putting a 302 stroker in this week and my goal is the upper 600rwhp range.

I started with a Spec and had nothing but problems. Now I have a McLeod RST and have had nothing but great service, drivability, holding power, and the list keeps going on. If I ever have problems with this one I will replace it with another just like.

McLeod RST FTW.

Here are some pics of the clutch!

hey man, that doesn't looks like a Stage 3, its a full face so either a 2+ or 3+ from the look of it to me.

What flywheel did you have? Was it turned or machined? That doesn't look like very even wear at all on the clutch to me.

Subscribing with a recent 3+ installation and have not beat the car or flogged it at the track yet.

I'm happy and sad to see that other people are experiencing what I did with SPEC's products and customer service. I hate it that you guys lost money to them also and had to deal with their etrocious customer service. It now collects dust in my storage while I'm gone. Maybe I can find some clever uses for them like some of you guys have, LMAO. I switched to RAM and havent looked back. Hell their HD hold so well I toasted my 3650 and the clutch was left unscathed. Plus it's soooo much more streetable without all the grabbiness the damn SPEC had. I regularly launched at 5k and nitrous without it flinching. It seems to me that McLeod and the few of us running RAM's are happy customers. Just too bad some of us had to find out the hard way.
