Just saw this the other day. You know those colorful silicone couplers and shit in the autoparts store? Those are usually spectre. I pretty sure theyre chinese.
But anyway, they have these intakes for sale now for <200 bucks. Litterally zero info. Doesnt look like anybody has tried one, or at least they havent talked about it on the internet.

Can't speak to the intake but those are the filters I have on my TT kit and the same ones S&H will be including on the 3V tt kit.

this may be a dumb question but why are some intakes no tune required and others are when they look almost the same?

The insert that goes where the MAF is what makes it a no tune intake; when the pipe size that houses the MAF changes that's what causes a tune to be required.

I wonder if it requires a tune or not.
From what I remember the stock MAF housing inner diameter is kinda a odd size, not the same as 3" or 3.5" tubing.

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, his car wouldn't even idle right with it on.

I gave mine away without using it to a local person and when they put it on check engine light came on and it was showing the lean code. They left it on and are still driving it even though I told them it wasnt a good idea.

You got the spacer too right? 25 rwhp right there! 35 with the vortex bores on the spacer. Twisting air slides right into the cylinders.

I bet it needs a tune, but people are just rolling around without one.
The MAF is mounted right on a piece of bent tubing, there no way its the same inside diamater as the stock MAF housing. Its probably 3.5" tubing.
