Are you running the OEM short block still?

IMO, I think it would be a gamble spinning that high of rpm at that power level on the stock short block. There are some flimsy parts in there (IE: rods). But anytime you run a power adder on the stock bottom end you run the risk of blowing it up. It may or may not last, but most folks don't spin that high when running a power adder.

There probably is no need to spray that high. Jiust shut the spray down at 6 grand or so. More than likely , your issue will be traction .

Yea, i could always shift it a little early, and not lose too much power.

6k is too low, with the head/cam set-up i have it makes power from like 5000-7k+. shifting at 6 would put it into low rpm ranges and i would lose a good amount of power..ithink it should be ok shifting at 6600-6700 ish

*Sorry just realized you said shut spray off at 6k, not shift.

Your gonna need extra stuff to spray a 100 shot. At your hp your atleast gonna need a fuel pump setup or bap, colder plugs and a hell of a tune not to blow it up. They say spray is rated at rwhp but from what I've seen there's usally a 10-20% loss depending on setup. Get a window switch an set it up to 6500k. I spray out of the hole and let my auto tranny do the rest(footbrake 3-3.2k). Just go ahead and doooooo IT. Grab one of freaknasty's zex kits for dirt cheap. He wants like 300 for the full kit, can't beat that

100 wet shot requires a tune with 3 or 4 degrees removed (depending on safe you want to run) and some good octane fuel. As well as 1 step colder plug. Also raise the fuel rail pressure up to about 45 pounds. which can be done in the tune as well. I ran a 100 shot all last year with the stock fuel pump set up with no issues and retarded my global spark 4 degrees between 2800 and 6500 rpm. That gave me a A/F of 11.6 to 1 at WOT

Trust me he's gonna out cycle the stock pump with a 100 shot. He's already 380ish rw, and with the better valvetrain and cam he gets the full potential of the 100 shot. I don't think the stock block will handle the 480rw let alone the pump. Just try a 75 shot and work from there.

Good point...i did not see he was at that hp already. I would worry more about the torque than hp. Mine was at almost 500 rwtq on the 100 shot. You have more mods, so you are going to be pushing it.

Plate kit?? Your playing with fire spraying 100. Make sure you have it dyno tuned cause you really got watch your a/f ratio or I have no doubt you'll blow it up. Spinning 7k+ on a stock bottom end is bad enough but throw some nitrous into play and kaaaabooooom

If it will break on a 100 it will break on a 75! Use the bap, plugs, and race fuel, pull 4* timing and you will be fine! Shift it and spray till 6500. Nitrous makes up the power loss fom early shifing. I have ran better on Spray shifting early!
